I LOVE Christmas Music.
And when it’s free it sounds better… just like food someone else cooked always tastes better.
Seriously ya’ll this site might earn the better than sex award!
Kat at BMN (bloggable Music Network) is brilliant!
I posted after she launched the BMN and I think her idea is brilliant and genius and free! Three things you don’t see together very often!
The very day I was surfing itunes for holiday tunes, BMN linked to a free amazon Christmas Album that we have listened to again and again. It’s what we decorated the tree to, it’s what we eat breakfast to, it’s what we drive around to, it’s what we brush our teeth to…
And just in case I thought that was the ultimate now… tonight Joy Williams has a free Christmas song, Bring a Torch, that I downloaded and it is b.ea.u.ti.ful. If I were a real techy I would somehow link it here for you but now you will HAVE TO hit the BMN link to hear for yourself.
I’m intrigued by the beauty in her voice and I listen spellbound that any mortal can sing such heavenly melodies.
Joy’s voice is strong yet tender and invites listeners into depths of emotions that are often overlooked and passed over in today’s modern music world. It’s refreshing to go there again.
You won’t want to miss this free song by Joy. So hit the bmn site and thank me later.
Do it you know you want to!
On my playlists for Christmas ‘08

Glad you like Joy’s song. Did you know she recorded it in ONE take? It’s a good thing I don’t live in Nashville, I think I’d invite myself over to her house all the time.
You might also note that we’ll be release her EP to bloggers soon too. Early 2009.
Thanks for posting about this!
