I read this book three times today and I’m blogging because my head is swimming.
Yes I read it three times because I’m shallow like that.
I love Christians, I love the church. I am a Christian.
I’ve been the offended and the offender.
I’ve felt the sting of self righteous believers even as recent as my nose ring expierience and I”ve unintentionally hurt people along the way in the name of faith. Sometimes we need a mirror to help us see our blind spots. Parts of the book have been that for me, while others like reading the Koran, have just been an informative read.
The book is not a book on solutions, or an answer to the churchs problem, but a little bit of a deserved rant.
IT’s a potty book in that it’s a light read and you can finish it in a few hours, or three times in a day if you read fast. I wonder if you read slow if you won’t have to read it so many times. So if you stick it on the potty it won’t take long to finish it.
It raises some valid questions and concerns with the church at large; some I agree with others I don’t.
I’ll most likely be blogging about it as I’m considering a book study on it. So bear with me and my questions.
